THE MASSAGE TECHNICIAN program trains students for entry level employment in the field of massage by providing professional quality instruction.

This program is approved for 180 hours of instruction (School Code #4901041) in the following areas:
Bureau approval to operate means it is in compliance with the laws and regulations set forth by the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009.

  • Introduction to Reflexology - with emphasis on the feet
  • Esalen/Swedish Massage - with development of an extensive, full body sequence
  • Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology - including muscles, bones and systems of the body and their relationship to massage
  • Health, Hygiene & Contraindications - client care is essential on all levels
  • Body Mechanics - practitioner self-care is the primary focus
  • Introduction to Aromatherapy - utilizing nature's gift of essential oils
  • Business Skills - both practical and creative
  • Ethics - holding clear intention and boundaries
  • Effective Client/Practitioner Communication - maintaining clarity and integrity
  • Practitioner Self-Care - stretching, centering and grounding
  • Outside Practice - outside practice hours are not included in the 180 hours for the Massage Technician Program but are required for developing technique, strength and professional confidence
